Biography

Dr. Charest, who holds a PhD in statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, specializes in statistical data privacy protection. Her research focuses primarily on the generation of synthetic datasets and the statistical methodology required for their analysis. She is also interested in assessing the risks of sensitive data disclosure, particularly through differential privacy. Dr. Charest is also recognized for her commitment to teaching statistics at both the university and secondary levels.
